Benefiting from its proximity to the sea, Salthúsið’s A La Carte menu features beautifully presented seafood that couldn’t be more fresh. They offer cod, haddock, catfish and even lobster but it all depends on the ‘catch of the day’. Salthúsið menu also consists of items such as marinated fillet of the Icelandic lamb, beef tenderloin and BBQ ribs, to name a few.

Salthúsið offers an extensive wine list which you can enjoy while listening to the soft ambient music in front of the wood-burning stove in the dining room that serves to warm and brighten those rainy days that are inevitably a part of life in Grindavík. Aside from the á la carte evening menu, there is more casual fare for the lunch crowd, a café and a bar which is popular with the locals on weekends.
