JS Watch is the first and only watch manufacturer in Iceland. All their timepieces are designed and assembled by hand in their workshop. Every detail of the timepiece has been given the personal attention needed for perfection. The limited volume of production gives every timepiece a personal character and a true feeling of exclusivity.

Their success is derived from the upholding of watchmaking traditions of the past along with the idea of engineering classically inspired designs to moderns precision, using finely constructed but traditional calibers adjusted by hand.

Gilbert O Guðjónsson, the Master Watchmater was honoured by being nominated Icelandic Craftsman of the Year in 2009 and in 2014 JS Watch Company Reykjavík won the prestigious ’Shop of the Year’ award. JS Watch Company timepieces are also well-appreciated by a range of celebrities such as Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, Jude Law, Quentin Tarantino, Yoko One, His Majesty King Constantine II and many more.

At JS Watch Company Reykjavík, they are committed to provide a quality service while they pride themselves of their close relationship with their customers where the customers speak directly to the designers and manufacturers of the brand. They are always happy to assist and advise about their pieces so they make sure you find the perfect watch.

They offer worldwide delivery on their timepieces, you can contact them by sending them an email on to get a price list or personal assistance.

After a few years of dreaming I have been, it’s a small shop with a big heart and I got to meet the man who started it, the watches are fantastic, all hand made and quality flowing down the road. When looking for the shop I can be hard to miss as it is small so persist and use you Google maps ,I am now lucky enough to own a watch from this shop and haven’t taken it off yet, please don’t forget the vat form as it is worth a lot of money when you give them in at the airport!

My wife and I were in Reykjavík last week and I intended to just stop to say “hello” to Gilbert. I had visited his shop in November 2015 and purchased a watch. He excitedly showed me a 100-year-old Omega pocket watch that had been sent to him for repair and revitalising. He also showed me some of his new designs, including the 45th Anniversary Edition. After all the years in business, Gilbert still truly loves watches and his enthusiasm is contagious. So contagious, in fact, that I couldn’t leave without buying another watch. My wife doesn’t know it (so please don’t tell her), but I am secretly saving up for a 45th Anniversary Edition. Thanks again, Gilbert!
